Sleep On

Sleep on then dreamers

Sailing on the waves of breath

And drinking deep the perfume

Of invisible trumpets

The soft horns of flowers

The pearly shallows of conch

The velvet realm of peaches

Sleep on

And through half parted lips

Roll kisses

And on closed lids powdered stars

Glitter and crumble

Upon soft cheeks

Tumble the honeyed garlands

Of visions

Of flight and fearlessness

Let not your fancies

Throw you on the shores

Of wakefulness

Sleep on!
